Olivia
Course Learning AssistanceOlivia helps with the English lesson a learner is studying inside an eligible owned course. She can explain and support practice, but cannot answer or hint at live assessments. Olivia time belongs only to Olivia.
Amelia
Standalone AI Language TutorAmelia can lead one-to-one conversation, correction, practice and adaptive teaching. No course is required. Amelia time belongs only to Amelia.
Languages and explanations
Amelia teaches English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese for adults. Choose a separate communication language for explanations from the available selector. AI quality varies with language, accents and mixed speech; you can change that preference, including back to English. Availability is not a guarantee of perfect fluency, native-perfect pronunciation or independent linguistic certification. Structured English and French courses are separate from Amelia. Olivia is optional assistance within eligible adult course lessons. Other non-English languages currently offer Amelia only; child accounts cannot use these AI services.
How to use AI learning responsibly
AI responses can be incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on an AI service for legal, medical, financial, immigration, emergency or other high-stakes advice. Do not share passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information. Stop the session and contact Support if something appears unsafe or incorrect.
Voice, sessions and charging
Olivia and Amelia sessions can use voice or text; text-only use does not require you to speak. Permission to use the microphone is requested by the browser. AI time is charged only during a connected, billable session measured by the service; reconnecting must not create a duplicate billable session. Ending a session stops the active countdown.
Learning records and assessment
Course completion requires the required lesson activities, automatically scored module passes and a final assessment pass. Speaking, writing and pronunciation remain practice; the successful-completion certificate does not claim independent assessment of unrestricted productive-language proficiency. Amelia and Olivia do not issue certificates. AI conversation is not itself proof of course completion or formal competency. Operational evidence may be reviewed to investigate support, security or billing disputes, while access is limited to authorised purposes.
The Tutor Room and saved work
Amelia can use a Teaching Board, approved visual resources, vocabulary, short practice, writing, goals and homework. Tools are chosen according to the learning need; not every session uses every tool. Session History retains saved educational work and selected learning notes for continuity. AI feedback and progress indicators do not establish formal competency or guarantee an outcome.
Optional transcripts
Amelia transcript saving is off by default and is your choice before a session. A saved transcript is available only to you as the owning learner, expires 30 days after the session starts and can be deleted earlier. It may contain errors or omissions. Raw microphone audio is not retained by the English application. Educational work is separate and remains when a transcript is deleted.
