Terms of use

1. Who provides the platform

DiverseFX English is operated by DiverseFX (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/252254/07, South Africa. These terms apply when you browse the site, create an account or use an available learning service.

2. Your account

Direct registration and purchasing are available only to adults aged 18 or older. We record an adult confirmation without collecting a date of birth. A verified adult parent or legal guardian may add child learners in My Learners, provide consent and enrol them in free structured courses. The adult controls enrolment and access; each child has a separate learning identity. The guardian provides versioned consent, manages the child username and password, and selects the child as learner when enrolling. Learning, progress and certificates belong to the child. Guardians can reset credentials, suspend access, withdraw consent and request corrections. Children must complete their own learning and assessments. Issued certificates keep an issuance-name record; a later display-name correction does not rewrite it. Child accounts cannot purchase or use Emma, Amelia, Olivia or Human Tutors. Schools do not become account holders or receive child learning data through this pathway. Provide accurate information, keep your sign-in details private and tell Support promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Your account is personal to you. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect learners, the platform or the law.

3. Free individual structured courses

All currently available individual English and French structured courses are free, including assessments and standard Certificates of Successful Completion. Complete required lessons, pass every module checkpoint and pass the final assessment. One unfinished course per learner; the next course unlocks after the certificate is actually issued. Completed courses remain accessible. Olivia and Amelia are optional paid services with separate balances.

Existing legitimate historical purchases and financial evidence are retained. This change does not erase past transactions or alter statutory rights. Free access does not remove safeguarding, account security or legitimate access restrictions. Course availability is shown in the current catalogue; unpublished courses are not available.

For children, the guardian gives the required language-specific consent and enrols the child. Course levels describe language ability, not school grades or ages. Learning materials do not promise employment, immigration, accreditation or professional outcomes.

4. Emma, Olivia and Amelia

Emma is the free site assistant. Olivia is optional paid Learning Assistance inside an eligible owned course. Amelia is a separate, standalone AI Language Tutor and does not require course ownership. Their balances, purposes and sessions are separate.

Purchased but unused Olivia or Amelia time expires 12 months after verified purchase. Used time is consumed. Paid AI time is charged only while the relevant session is connected and billable, as measured by the service. Time restored after a verified platform failure expires 12 months after the authorised credit. AI can make mistakes, so important information should be checked. Amelia language choices

Adult Amelia tutoring is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese. Structured courses are available in the languages and levels listed as available on their language pages. Olivia supports eligible adult course lessons; it remains unavailable to child accounts. Each Amelia target language has separate learning continuity and all share one time balance. Your confirmed explanation-language preference is separate from the teaching catalogue and is recorded for each session. Buying new time does not extend older purchase lots. AI tutoring does not promise perfect pronunciation, linguistic accuracy, accreditation or a course certificate.

5. Assessments and certificates

Each of A1, A2, B1 and B2 has its own course-completion certificate pathway. Enrolling in a course or completing lesson activities alone does not earn a certificate. Complete the required lesson activities, pass every module checkpoint and pass the final course assessment to receive an automatic Certificate of Successful Completion. These certificates record successful completion of the specified DiverseFX English course. They are not an accredited qualification, an official CEFR qualification or an endorsement by the Council of Europe.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse accounts, bypass access controls, interfere with the service, submit unlawful or harmful material, impersonate another person, or infringe intellectual-property rights. Course learning material is for the assigned learner’s own learning; it may not be republished, resold or systematically copied.

7. Availability, changes and responsibility

Internet, hosting and third-party providers can fail. Failed or uncertain payments must be independently verified before access or time is granted. A cancelled, failed or unverified transaction does not create an entitlement.

Refunds and other remedies are assessed fairly from the purchase, delivery and usage evidence. A refund does not silently erase learning history or restore consumed time; any access or credit adjustment is separately reviewed and audited. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law. Human Tutor services are coming soon; bookings and recruitment are not open. Questions or disputes can be raised through Contact or authenticated Support.

8. Organisation learning services

Employers use one central organisation account on DiverseFX Business. Organisation management is a separate, manually renewed service; individual courses remain free. Staff retain their individual learner accounts. Sharing progress and certificates requires learner consent and is subject to current access permissions.

9. Payments and learning materials

Secure individual online payments are processed through Peach Payments. Prices are in South African rand; any USD reference is approximate and your card provider determines conversion and fees. Review the product, access period and final amount before authorising payment. Paid AI time is granted only after independently verified payment. Free individual course enrolment requires no payment.

The refund policy explains how to raise a purchase or service issue. Statutory consumer rights remain. Do not send payment-card details to DiverseFX by email or Support.

Teaching Board content, visual resources and other supplied learning materials are provided for your authorised learning use. Access to a resource does not transfer copyright or permission to resell, redistribute or systematically extract the library. Do not submit material you are not entitled to use. Saved learner work is handled under the privacy notice.

Optional support

Individuals and businesses may support free education through the central DiverseFX Business contribution page. Support is never required for enrolment, assessments, certificates or starting a further eligible course. It does not influence results or priority. DiverseFX is a private commercial business; contributions are not tax-deductible charitable donations. Business handles contributions, receipts and applicable contribution enquiries separately. No accounts or balances transfer between sites.
